Hi there!
I’m Claire, and I’m so happy you’ve found your way here. This blog is all about helping you study smarter, thrive as an international student, and stay grounded through the power of journaling.
In 2018, I moved from Seoul, South Korea, to the U.S. for college. Honestly, it wasn’t easy at first. I struggled with everything—making small talk with classmates, writing emails to professors, avoiding plagiarism, and writing essays that actually made sense! But I pushed through, and over time, I went from those challenges to getting As in Literature classes, working as an academic coach for many students, sharing tips and advice on studying, transferring to an Ivy League school, and earning my degree.
I started this blog because I know what it feels like to be lost, overwhelmed, and trying to find your way. I’ve faced plenty of challenges—from fitting in and adjusting to life in a new country, to dealing with tough moments of racism and discrimination. Through it all, I’ve learned so much about what it takes to succeed, both academically and personally.
I’m here to share everything I’ve learned—the mindsets, study tips, and personal growth habits that helped me get to where I am today. Whether you’re an international student like me or just someone looking to improve your study game, get organized, and tackle life’s challenges, this blog is for you.
